How to Complain to McDonald's About High Fructose Corn Syrup

McDonald's continues to fill its products with dangerous ingredients.

If you have never checked the ingredients list of McDonald's products, especially the ones that you allow your children to eat, it is time for you to research the subject. McDonald's puts High Fructose Corn Syrup in many of its products including chocolate milk, Ketchup and all sauces. Why would they need to put HFCS in chocolate milk? If you purchase chocolate milk at the grocery store it does not contain HFCS and it tastes wonderful. There are also plenty of McDonald's items that still contain partially hydrogenated oils, so if you are taking the time to complain about high fructose corn syrup, you can add partially hydrogenated oils to your complaint as well.

RESEARCH - Research the ingredient lists of McDonald's products. Visit http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/nutritionexchange/nutrition_ingredients.html to see the ingredients of all their products. Scroll down for the ingredients of buns and beef patties. Notice that all of the sauces including the caramel dipping sauce for apple dippers and barbeque sauce for your McNuggets have high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients list.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is dangerous for human bodies. Anyone that tells you it is the same as sugar is either ignorant of the facts or purposely trying to deceive you.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is not processed through the body the same way that sugar is. It is fast tracked through your system, bypassing many of the normally processes that help break down elements and allow your body to absorb them slowly. By bypassing the normal body processes, it sets up your body for dangers such as obesity and diabetes.

EMAIL - Contact McDonald's to let them know that their ingredients are unacceptable especially in products for children. Visit http://www.mcdonalds.com/contact/contact_us.html and scroll down to the title McDonald’s Food Quality, Nutrition, Ingredients in red. Click on the Ingredients title.

SCROLL DOWN - Scroll down to the bottom of the next page and click on "send us an e-mail using our online form". They will try to distract you by telling you that your question can be answered in one of the sections above.

ONLINE FORM - Fill out the online form completely. All items with a red asterik need to be completed. Enter your complaint about High Fructose Corn Syrup in the comment section.

SUBMIT - Hit submit when you are finished, however, there is one more step. After you hit submit, you will be directed to a page to check your email. You must hit submit again to actually submit your email to McDonald's.

  1. Chef Hymie Grande (www.chefhymiegrande.com ) is the first and only bottled BBQ sauce to carry the seal of the American Diabetes Association on the label. It has no high fructose corn syrup, no processed sugar, it is all natural and vegan friendly. It is produced at the Rutgers Food Innovation Center in Bridgton, NJ by Jamie Failtelson, a.k.a. Chef Hymie Grande of Carlstadt, NJ. 5% of proceeds go to the American Diabetes Association.
